HOW I REDECORATED MY KITCHEN SHELVES

After Christmas, I wanted to do something  different with the set of shelves in our kitchen. So I took everything off and went through my cupboards and pulled out everything I thought I could use. After a good dusting, I played around until I came up with a look I was happy with. I was trying to create a more casual arrangement than what I would typically do. It's more of a collected over time look, I think. By stacking things, I was able to display a lot more of my dishes, bowls, and pitchers that I love and at the same time, it doesn't look too cluttered. A nice fresh change for after the holidays. My boxwood branches still look good so I guess they will stay a while longer. Thank you for all of your visits and sweet comments ~ it means a lot. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!   • • • joining • • • BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH ~ MET MONDAY ELIZABETH & CO. ~ BE INSPIRED COASTAL CHARM ~ NI

NEW BATHROOM REVEAL

Our bathroom remodel that began over  a year ago is finally finished. ~ sooo happy ~ We are working on finishing up a few details  ~   like the hardware on the cabinets . . . mirrors . . . and blinds for the windows. Around the corner is the bathtub. The shower curtain is from Target  and the only decorating I have done so far. We chose  Portfolio Ellicott wall lights from Lowes. Moen Boardwalk faucets also from Lowes ~ love them. Since this is our kids' bathroom, we tried to choose  materials that would be kid proof like wood laminate flooring. The cabinetry is Thomasville thermofoil in cashmere. The countertops and tub surround are cultured marble -  no grout lines to clean - yeah! Now comes the fun part - accessorizing! Here's a reminder of the teensy bathroom we started with ~ So what do you think so far? I'll be back soon to show you the after with all the fun
