Getting Inspired - 4th of July Decorating

Hi Everyone, We're home from a very nice vacation and this week has been filled with unpacking, laundry, and getting back into some kind of summer routine. So of course that routine includes catching up on all of your blogs  and thinking about something to post  on mine but I was not feeling very inspired. That changed pretty quickly when I took a look at the  4th of July decorating ideas on the  Better Homes & Garden website.   Every picture was just so cute! Here is the link if you want to take a look ~   4th of July/Memorial Day Decorating   All of the photos seemed to use a lot of white with pops of blue and red. So here is my version.  I bought one bunch of silk geraniums, one bunch of little blue flowers,  and a few little flags.  Everything else, I already had. Did I do okay for a quick afternoon  of decorating? Are you feeling the bug to do a little patriotic decorating too? I'm so happy you came for a visit! ~~~ I really enjoy and appreci

*THINK SHABBY*

Okay - so if you don't do anything else today, you must  take a look at *THINK SHABBY* ~ ~ Lara lives in Italy and she has some of the most amazing spaces on her blog.   She says that her style is  " s habby romantic, feminine and carefree. "   It is all that and more - so inspiring!  I will show you a few images just to tempt you ...... Wouldn't you just love to walk through this little white gate and through the pretty yellow door? These vintage pails on the ladder are super cute! And wouldn't it be nice to sit here and do your blogging? Such a pretty and feminine bathroom! Sweet kitchen! This living room is so charming ~ I think part of the reason I'm drawn to it is because the wall color is very close to my family room wall color! Another kitchen that is so pretty and such a soothing color palette - notice the back splash and faucet above the farmhouse sink - don't you love it? DECOROLOGY Just look at this work area - ev

Simple & Sweet Summer Supper

I love to set a pretty table. I just don't take time to do it very often. I thought it would be fun to join in some of the tablescape parties this week so this is what  I came up with  for a simple summer supper. These are my everyday dishes - I just dressed them up with some  cloth napkins, placemats, and flowers. I wanted to do it while the peonies were still in bloom. What could be more perfect for a pretty table? Here is the menu for our supper.... What?  There are only desserts on the menu? Oh...this would be my fantasy dinner menu! I'll have one of each - five courses, right? - - -YUM- - - ...now you know why I called it a Simple & Sweet Summer Supper... I would love for you to join me! Now we just need someone to prepare the five courses!! Join me here for some other inspiring tablescapes: A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday Thanks so much for visiting - I do appreciate it and all of your sweet comments! ~

Feeling Beachy

The weather is very warm and breezy here today.  Combine that with the end of the school year quickly approaching  and I'm in a beachy mood.  I happened upon a blog called  Seaside Style  and that really got me thinking about the beach. Seaside Style is all about the coastal lifestyle and decor. Linda has some beautiful images on her blog. Just check these out... This room is so cute and colorful.  Look at the little turtle table! Isn't this little kitchen just so sweet! I could get cozy in this bedroom after a day at the beach! So cute! From Sarah Richardson's Summer Cottage... Such a beautiful spot for coffee in the morning or relaxing on a summer evening... Pretty girl's room - aren't those light fixtures amazing? Okay - Now I'm really feeling beachy!!   How about you? Can't you just feel the ocean breezes and hear the seagulls? ~SOUNDS HEAVENLY~ Have a joyful weekend and check out Seaside Style if you would like to see more
