COTTAGE KITCHEN WITH RETRO FLAIR

I really love looking at pictures of kitchens. It's especially inspiring when I find one that is really unique. Recently, I found this one at  THISOLDHOUSE.COM . It almost looks like a kitchen in a cute little dollhouse, doesn't it? The retro features like this stove are so charming. ( love that enamel coffee pot too ) Isn't this an amazing sink? It's complete with washboards on each side and retro faucet. Do you see the little soap dish above the faucet? One wall of the kitchen has all of this built in storage. Very functional. Love the golden yellow of the mugs and mixer. It's a great accent color with the color of the cabinetry. This end of the room has a reading corner with a charming rocking chair ~ a very unique use of space, I think. Do you like this one? A lot of creativity went into this kitchen and I think it turned out beautifully. Thanks for stopping by - have a great day everyone!

LOVING THE LITTLE THINGS

Often I do not have a big project to share so I  thought that from time to time I would just show  you some of my favorite things around the house. Little things can give me just as much enjoyment as the bigger items. Some flowers, a new pillow, or just rearranging things can make me happy. I've always felt that it really is the special little touches that make a home. ♡  ♡  ♡ Here are a few of the things that I am loving right now.  { i found 2 of these pillows on ebay ~ I have always loved this Waverly fabric } { i know Easter is over but I just couldn't put away the blue eggs yet } I must say, my most favorite thing right now is seeing the flowering trees and the green grass through my kitchen window. Isn't it a good feeling to see the arrival of Spring? Thank you so much for visiting! ~ sharing here ~ HAVE A DAILY CUP OF MRS. PAINTED PLASTIC EASTER EGGS

A couple years ago I painted some designs on  green and blue plastic easter eggs. This year I simply put them in a basket with some crinkled Easter grass for a  simple display ~ easy peasy. I think it looks kind of cute sitting on my blue wooden crate. WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY AND BLESSED EASTER!

QUICK AND EASY SPRING CENTERPIECE

I put together a quick and easy spring centerpiece for our table. I used a basket, a few flowers and greenery, some spring colored  kitchen towels, and a moss covered bunny. All things I had around the house. I really like grouping things in baskets and I love the texture that it adds. My bunny sheds little green pieces all over the place but I love him anyway. He's a keeper.  ♡ I HOPE YOU HAVE A WARM AND SUNNY DAY! ~ joining ~ BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH ~ MET MONDAY DWELLINGS-THE HEART OF YOUR HOME ~ AMAZE ME MONDAY A STROLL THRU LIFE ~ INSPIRE ME TUESDAY OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME ~ TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME CEDAR HILL RANCH ~ THE SCOOP (tues)

VINTAGE COTTAGE KITCHEN

I have the most adorable kitchen to share with you today. If you like vintage, pastel colors, and pink refrigerators,  you're going to love this. I ran across this kitchen on the Barn Light Electric Blog . This renovation won the grand prize in a photo contest  and I can see why. The pendant lights which are perfect for the space are just one of so many wonderful details: - simple white cabinetry with marble countertops - open shelving with cute scalloped borders are loaded with vintage enamel cannisters, jadeite cake plates, and pretty dishes - industrial range with aqua tile backsplash and large corbels on each side -  and of course the pink retro fridge is like the cherry on top The rest of the open space blends seamlessly with the kitchen. Isn't it pretty? Soft blue paint on the walls and crisp white sofas. Two gorgeous chandeliers. Love the big old cabinet with the large basket on top too. You can see a little mo
