Little Hallway Changes

~ ~ ~ ~ • ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~  •  ~ ~ ~ ~ Hi Everyone, I made some changes in the little hallway that leads to our bedroom. ~ this is how it looked for a long time ~ ~ and this is how it looks now ~ I found this plate at a yard sale a long time ago and I love it. I love it even with its little imperfections. But I had never really found a good spot for it. With the little bit of yellow in it, I thought it might look good here with the yellow of this little table. Then I just added some flowers in pretty jars. I found the jars at Joann Fabrics and thought they were pretty with the design on the front. They were very inexpensive ~ $3 for the small one, and $4 for the larger one. (They came with lids also.) Doesn't it look kind of sweet?  ~ ~ ~ ~  •  ~ ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~ ~  •  ~ ~ ~ ~ A simple little change to freshen up this spot for spring and summer. ...

Adding More Cottage Style

Do you ever feel like there is something just not right about a room? I like our family room but I don't feel completely satisfied with it. I think I want it to have more of a cottage feel than it currently has. So I made a few easy changes to give it more of what to me is the quintessential cottage look. I moved my chippy window frame from the entryway to this wall . . . My husband gave this trunk to me for  our first Christmas together as a married couple ~ 18 years ago! . . . and placed a vintage tablecloth that I had on the trunk. ~ love the weathered look of this flower pot ~ Then I cut apart a $3 spray of white geraniums and arranged  them in a pot that did have some old dusty flowers in it. What do you think? I like it so much better! Now I have to see what I can do to the rest of the room!! ~ joining these parties ~ SAVVY SOUTHERN STYLE -WOW US WEDNESDAY NO MINIMALIST HERE ~ OPEN HOUSE THURS...

The Cutest Watering Can Ever

Hi Everyone, Life has been keeping me really busy lately. My baby  will be going to high school next year  (which makes me proud and sad at the same time) so we've been trying to make sure his schedule is all set. There are so many options that I think my head has spun  around a few times!  : ) Spring sports and activities have started up also so there has been a lot going on at our house. I have to show you something I found this week. I went to Target to return a few things and at the last minute I decided to check out their garden department. When I saw this watering can, I knew it had to come home with me. Isn't it just the cutest??? I've never seen a gingham check watering can before, have you? It just totally says spring and summer to me. Here it is 'modeling for you' on my pink cake stand. (It's such a show off!) ~    ❀ • ❀ • ❀ • ❀ • ❀   ~ I hope you all have the most wonderful Sunda...

Growing Flowers & Veggies
