Back From Europe and A Few Pictures

Hi Everyone, We are home from our trip to Europe. We had a wonderful time. And great weather. I picked out a few favorite photos to share today. I'm working on unpacking and getting back to a routine. But don't worry - just in case you were going to . . . . . . I'll be back with more. Probably way more than you want to see. I hope you are having a great weekend. See you soon! ❈ - joining - BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH ~ MET MONDAY

LITTLE CHANGE IN THE BATHROOM

I've had this black table in our master bathroom for a long time so I decided it was time for a change. I swapped it out for my farmhouse chair and one of my little benches. I actually have two of these benches and I have used them all over the house. My hubby's change jar fit perfectly under the chair. Just a few accessories were added to the bench. I know I've shown you this blue and white bowl before but it's really one of my very favorite things. It's such a lighter look from the black table. I'm really liking this quick and easy change. As always, thanks so much for visiting! ~ JoAnne

WHERE WE ARE STAYING IN MUNICH, FLORENCE AND ROME

Last week I shared with you the places we are staying in London and Paris .   Today I have some pictures of the places we are staying in  Munich, Florence and Rome. This is the hotel where we will be staying in Munich. It's called Hotel Eder. Isn't it pretty? This breakfast looks so yummy and an adorable dining room to eat it in too. source for photos of Hotel Eder We will be staying in a hotel in Florence as well. This one is called Hotel Alba. I'm guessing that this hotel really captures the feeling of the city and it has a yummy breakfast spread as well!  : ) source for photos of Hotel Alba Our last city will be Rome. We have booked a small apartment called La Gensola in the historic district of Trastevere. By the time we get to Rome, I think it will be nice to have a little more room to spread out considering we will be experiencing quite a bit of togetherness on this trip if you know what...

A PRETTY ENAMEL MILK CAN

I needed a therapy session the other day so I headed to Homegoods. I had not been there in a long time so it was a miracle that I walked out with only one item ~ this pretty enamel milk can. I had to have it the minute I saw it. It has the perfect touch of blue around the rim and the cutest wooden handle. The only thing that could make it better is some peonies. This is about the last of our peonies and they're looking a little bedraggled but I still think they're beautiful. Yep, I definitely benefited from that therapy session! Life has been especially crazy lately with the end of the school year and getting ready for our trip so I haven't been able to respond to comments like I want to.   Just want you to know that I so appreciate every comment and visit! As always, thank you! ♡♡♡   JoAnne - joining - THOUGHTS FROM ALICE ~ SUNDAYS AT HOME BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH ~ MET MONDAY COZY LITTLE HOUSE ~ TWEAK IT TU...

WANT TO SEE WHERE WE ARE STAYING IN LONDON AND PARIS?

If you happened to read my post at Junk Chic Cottage a couple weeks ago, you will know that my family and I are taking a trip to Europe this summer. Years ago, we started talking about taking this trip and we knew that we should do it before our oldest was out of high school. Unbelievably, he will be a senior in the fall, so now is the time  if we want to go as a family. I thought you might like to see where we are staying while there. We spent a lot of time finding places that would be in a good location, would work well for our family, and in our price range. Today I will show you the first two stops on our itinerary. London is our first destination. source After much searching online, we discovered a site called At Home In London  where we found a wonderful B&B that I think will be perfect for us. The picture below shows the exterior of the home.        We will be staying in two bedrooms that are joined by a b...

LAVENDAR AND BLUE IN THE KITCHEN

Our lilac bushes didn't do very well this year but I did manage to make a small bouquet for the kitchen. I thought the color looked really pretty with the light blue of the ceramic colander. So when I noticed some lavender colored wildflowers along the creek in our backyard, I cut some of those and brought them in. I played around with some different arrangements. There were a few yellow flowers which I cut as well. I'm just really loving the lavender and blue combination. Some of the yellow flowers replaced the lilacs here. On the table, I grouped some flowers in a basket that I got  for a couple bucks at a thrift store recently. I added a sprig of the lavender flowers in my little blue and white cream pitcher. The tiny white flowers in the white pitcher look more like weeds but they'll do for now.  : } All in all, not too bad for free flowers. Thanks so much to everyone who read my Saturday Sp...
