Master Bathroom

Hi Everyone,

How are you all doing?

Things have been a little stressful around here lately.

With the end of the school year coming soon, the kids

have a lot of end of year programs and projects to get done.

I'm always torn between how much I should help them

 or should they do it all on their own. 

 Do you know what I mean?

Anyway, I would like to show you our master bathroom today.

When we moved here this was actually a bedroom/office right next

 to the master bedroom so we turned it into our master bath.

I've really been gravitating more to kind of a french farmhouse

 style lately.  I recently changed out the mirrors to these that I

found on clearance for $17.50 each!  

This little box with the baskets is a thrift store find.

I painted it and added the porcelain knob.

I didn't take a before picture but this is the bottom

of it which gives you an idea of what it looked like.

It must have been from Pier 1 Imports originally.

I paid $5.00 for it.

I made this little towel hook from a left

over piece of molding and just painted it

with a dry brush technique using leftover paint.

I know this is not a big deal to most of you 

with all of the amazing things you make and transform

but this was my first time making something like this

so I'm kind of proud of myself for at least trying!

This is one of the things that has been so wonderful

for me about finding all of your great blogs - 

I have gotten so many ideas and inspiration and now

I look at things a lot differently.

  When I see things at thrift stores or yard sales, 

my mind starts coming up with ideas of how I could

use it or change it to fit into my home.  Or I wonder what all of

you talented ladies in blogland would do with it!

Or I try to think of how I could make it myself or adapt

something we already have.

You have really changed the way I see things and I want to

 send out a big thank you to all of you for that!!

Here's a little glimpse into the you know what part of

the bathroom.

This is just another place to hang towels and such

on the wall behind the door.

 I know it's hard with so many places to visit and so little time
