A Cute Find in the Target Dollar Bins

Isn't this the cutest little box of tissues you've ever seen?

~ i took a picture of it by my coffee mug so you
could see how little it is ~

Proof positive that if you waste an hour rummaging through the bins at Target, you will find something cute for your trouble!  :  }

It's a cool but gorgeous day in Ohio today ~ I hope your day is just as lovely!

. . . so very nice . . .
A Pocketful of Blue has received the Liebster Award from the beautiful Marina of the lovely blog MARINA IN BLUE
Thank you, Marina!

What I'm suppose to do:
Tell you 11 things about myself that you may not know:
I have 3 sisters and no brothers. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. I have been to Alaska, Australia, and Russia I have always been very neat and tidy even as a young child. I attended all Catholic schools including college. Next September will by my 20th wedding anniversary. I love animals ~ especially the cute furry kind,  not so much the slimy, creepy kind. I worked in accounting prior to my current career as  mother, novice decorator, and blogger. I have a huge sweet tooth ~ cake, cookies, donuts...yum! I would much rather have something pretty for my house than  jewelry, designer purses, or spa treatments. I started watching HGTV when it first came on the air ~ Room by Room was their first show ~ anyone remember Matt and Shari? (You can still see them at…

I hope you are all enjoying the season and having some beautiful weather wherever you are.

Tea Towel Display

I have always loved pretty tea towels . I have a small collection and I have been trying to come up with a way to display them. When I saw this wire wall organizer at Home Goods, I said to myself, "Hey, that might work!" That's what I said alrighty.

So I brought it home and played  around with it and guess what? It worked!

I had also been looking for something for this wall by the refrigerator so it seemed like the perfect place for my new tea towel display.

I changed out the labels to coordinate with my towels.

~ love this towel with the little ruffle at the bottom ~
I found the star at Joann's a while back ~  isn't the floral pattern just so pretty?

I'm very happy with my little display. This is the first thing I see when I walk in the house from the garage so I love having something there that I really like. I can change out the towels for different seasons too!

Here's a little tidbit for you:
I've always wondered if there is a difference between tea towels and dish to…

A Blessed Weekend

I had such a wonderful weekend.   The weather was beautiful, lots of sunshine, and the leaves
are changing into their brilliant colors.

My son went on a retreat to start preparing for his confirmation and on Sunday, they came back and went to Mass as a group.  There is something so powerful about seeing my son with a group of 60+ of his peers, mostly high school freshmen, sharing their faith.  Some of them may not even be that happy about being there but I believe that deep down, it does mean something to them and will provide a source of strength for them as they grow older and begin to make more and more decisions on their own.

It also just so happened to be my birthday.  While I would be perfectly happy to forget about my birthday, I wouldn't want to miss the outpouring of love that I feel from friends and family, and this year especially so.  I even received a call from my high school best friend whom I haven't talked to for several years ~ such a special …
