Hi Everyone, We spent yesterday and part of today at our daughter's softball tournament.   So we are ready to just relax tomorrow.
I found some really pretty outdoor spaces on HOUZZ today. These are all in the Columbus area near where I live.

My son will be playing with his high school band  at our local cemetery in the morning. After that, the rest of our day is free.
. . . hmmm . . . wonder if I could find one of these houses and get invited to their cookout . .  just wondering . . .
I hope you all have an enjoyable Memorial Day!

Hi Everyone, I finally have pictures of the changes I've made in the master. I took these at the beginning of last week but then had problems downloading the photos ~ frustrating, I tell you! Anyway, here they are.
This first picture is kind of what started it all. I purchased this lamp from Pottery Barn for our family room but I didn't really like it in there so I tried it in our bedroom. It gave the room a much lighter look that I really liked so that inspired more changes ~ you all know how that goes, right?

In the picture below, you can see the lamps we had previously.
Here is what the room looks like now.
I have always liked the look of plates above the bed since they can kind of mimic the curve of the headboard so that's what I did again.
Do you think I need to add a couple more plates or do you think these three are enough?

My comforter is reversible which is kind of nice for an easy change occasionally.

I moved this bench from the foyer to the end of the bed. It's not a very de…

The Beauty of Lilies

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of iBulb for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. I know most of us love flowers and fresh flowers would be our first choice, right?  Do you ever think about lilies? Lilies are beautiful and modern and make your home feel so fresh in the spring.  Many of us pick up flowers at the grocery store ~ why not look for some lilies next time? They're a wonderful way to treat yourself which we all need to do from time to time. A beautiful bouquet of lilies would be an amazing gift for someone special.  Your mom, sister, or a best friend would be so surprised to receive these gorgeous flowers.  You may even want to hint around to your hubby that next time he thinks about buying you flowers, lilies would be a nice and unexpected surprise!lilies Look how pretty these yellow lilies look in this rustic container. I just love the contrast, don't you? I have always loved pastel colors so I think this arrangement of white lilies and pink tul…

my home style

Wow, this time of year sure does get busy, doesn't it? My son received the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend  so we had family visiting for that. Yesterday I spent the day helping out with my daughter's field trip. Next up we have concerts, sports, and other end of year activities. After today, my kids only have 13 more days of school!
I did manage to complete one little project, though. I decided to paint this coat rack. I liked the floral design but every time I hung it up, it just seemed too busy.

I wanted to use it in my bedroom so I used my Annie Sloan chalk paint and then added some French wording.
( the brick is just holding it up while I take pictures )
"Bless This House"
I found the French address at The Graphics Fairy.

I'm not all that crafty, so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I like how the colors look with the iron hooks.

I mentioned recently that I have been making some  little changes to our master bedroom.
Well, I have it done but now I have to wa…
