Pocketful of Blue

I have done a couple posts on kitchens with blue cabinetry in the past, after all it is my favorite color. It has been awhile though, so today I have rounded up some more  amazing kitchens with cottage style that also incorporate blue in  the design. source The kitchen above and the one below have white upper cabinets and soft shades of blue on the lower ones. I recently saw this gorgeous kitchen in a magazine. I just love the rustic brick and the wood beams.  And those light fixtures!  I would never have chosen them myself but they look amazing, don't they? You get a closer view of the lighting in the picture below. Actually, this is the picture that originally caught my attention because the soft blue of the island jumped right out at me ~ no surprise there! And I really like how it looks with the warm tones of the granite which is another thing I would not have chosen but I'm loving the combination. There is definitely no shortage of storage space either. Right off of the kitchen is a wonderful butler's pantry with more cabinetry  and a pantry with sliding barn doors.  The doors were salvaged from an old barn. Do you tend to be safe and go neutral  on the cabinetry in your kitchen? I sure do! I adore the color blue, but I don't know if I would be brave enough to choose blue for my kitchen cabinets. These inspiration pictures make me think that someday  I might be daring enough! source The blue on the cabinets above is so soft and pretty  that I don't think I would tire of it. source This one is more of an aqua blue.
