Often I do not have a big project to share so I
thought that from time to time I would just show
you some of my favorite things around the house.
Little things can give me just as much enjoyment as the bigger items.
Some flowers, a new pillow, or just rearranging things can make me happy.
I've always felt that it really is the special little touches that make a home.
♡ ♡ ♡
Here are a few of the things that I am loving right now.
{ i found 2 of these pillows on ebay ~ I have always loved this Waverly fabric }
{ i know Easter is over but I just couldn't put away the blue eggs yet }
I must say, my most favorite thing right now is seeing the
flowering trees and the green grass through my kitchen window.
Isn't it a good feeling to see the arrival of Spring?
Thank you so much for visiting!
~ sharing here ~
I can see why these are some of your favorite things...so pretty!! LOVE that chippy chair!!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty things to have around your home! I would keep those blue eggs out as long as possible! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your little bits and pieces. That is what makes a house a home! Those blue eggs are just a gorgeous color and I would leave them out for Spring, too. LOVELY!!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love a post like this, JoAnne...makes me feel I know the blogger better. The cute duck and chippy old chair are my favorites!! I have a weird thing for old chairs, they just fit in anywhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful view out your window! I'm loving the flowering trees in my neighborhood!
XO,
Jane
All so pretty,I love chippy chairs too. I am visiting from Have a Daily Cup of Mrs Olsen :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I wish our trees would start to bloom here. The chippy chair is the perfect shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your favorite things too! That little duck is adorable. I would keep those eggs out. I think they're "Springy". Yes, I love looking outside and seeing the flowering trees and grass too. Your view is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your decorating style JoAnne and the chippy chair is my favorite. If the blue eggs make you happy then I say leave them out! The view out your window is beautiful. So glad spring finally arrived in Ohio!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Our decorating styles are almost identical! I had pillows very similar to that fabric on my brown leather couches. I am dying to know what paint you used on your walls.(The blue)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fanny. The paint color is Tide Pools by Behr. (I tried to reply by email but you are showing up as a no-reply blogger so I hope you see this.)
DeleteHmm. Sorry about that. I am not a blogger, just a reader! Thank you so much for the name. I love your home!
DeleteI would love to see pictures of your home, Fanny! Maybe you could email a couple pictures to me sometime if you have a chance. (I could even feature them on my blog if you are interested.) Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteI am going to be moving in the next month, so things are not exactly how I would like them to be right now. I am in a rental, so have light cream walls only everywhere. I haven't gone completely cottage yet, but seeing your home definitely gave me a lot of inspiration. So, in my new home , I hope to have the more cottage like look, since I will be free to do as I like with he walls, cabinets, etc.! I used to have the Waverly Ballad fabric on my pillows, but they got pretty raunchy looking after a while. I do have 2 dogs and a cat! So I switched them out and while they are pretty, they are not very cottage looking. Which Waverly fabric do you have on that pillow? It is beautiful and similar to the Ballad, but I love that it is more roses.
DeleteThe fabric is Waverly's Rose Sonata Robins Egg. Good luck with your move!
DeleteI do love the color of your eggs. I enjoyed the mini tour of things around your house. I have teacups in my cloche too but never thought of putting some eggs in there! Sweet.
ReplyDeleteI agree; it's the little things that help make our everyday lives beautiful. Love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your chippy blue chair and also that cloche! So pretty :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
The things that make you smile made me smile as well. I love that blue chippy chair and the blue flowered pillow.
ReplyDeleteMy first visit to your pretty blog. I agree...the little things make a home. I am LOVING that chippy blue chair! Visiting from Share Your Cup link party today. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteRoselle
It's truly the little things we love that seem to delight us most!
ReplyDeleteI love favorite things posts! Completely agree with you that the little things make it a home we love. Blue jars, flowers, tea towels, they all make me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's the simple things that make a house a home. A while back I did a post showing some of the little things in my home that make me smile when ever I walk by. These lovelies would do the same! Love, that chair and the wire cloche with eggs is perfect for Spring. No matter Easter is over, now they are Robin eggs. Spring blossoms always take my breath away. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Joanne, just hopping back to let you know that I will be featuring you at SYC this week.

Not only are these wonderful "little things", they are gorgeously photographed, too. I love everything here, JoAnne, and could easily move them right into my own place (well, it might be hard to move your flowering trees here - LOL). Can't wait until we get into our new home and I can get back to decorating. I get so much inspiration from your blog. ~ Nancy

I just love that blue chair and the pretty flowering tree outside your window. It has been raining and cold and windy here for days and days...I can't wait till it warms up enough to enjoy the trees that are flowering in my neighborhood.
