NEW BATHROOM WITH ALL THE FUN STUFF

Hey you guys, I finally have pictures of our new bathroom with all of the accessories and fun stuff. This is our kids' bathroom so I had fun decorating it for them. The picture below is what you see as you approach the bathroom from the hallway. Then, looking straight ahead, you see two of the three windows that make up the dormer we added to our second story.   The dormer gave us the space we needed to     enlarge what was a very tiny bathroom. Around the corner is the tub area. My son is 16 and my daughter is 12 so I tried to choose colors and accessories that would work for both of them. You know, like this sign with the Bathroom Rules. And a clock to keep them moving in the mornings. Hooks for towels and a big basket for dirty clothes. Or at least I will have somewhere to put them after I pick them up off the floor!  : ) They even have a basket handy with extra rolls of toilet paper. I found this bench...

A LITTLE PAINTED TABLE

I recently bought my second ever can of Annie Sloan chalk paint. This time I bought Coco. I used it to makeover this little table at the end of the hall by our master bedroom. Here is what it looked like before. I painted the main part of the table with ASCP Old White and the drawer fronts with the Coco.  I was surprised when the drawer pulls came off in four separate pieces. I decided to leave off the back plate for a more simple look  and brushed on a little of the old white onto the pulls.  The top was accessorized with a little basket I purchased at the shop where I bought the paint. Of course I couldn't go in there and only buy the paint, could I?  I like how my porcelain birds look in it.  Now don't be jealous, but I also added my huge collection of 5 old thread spools. The one marked "Sox" was our kitty's toy but not anymore ~ sorry Sox! I don't think you can buy anything for 15 cents anymore and ...

Hi Everyone, My post last year on blue kitchen cabinets received a lot of  views (a lot for my blog I should say) so I thought I would do another one this year. I think I could look at pretty kitchens all day long so it is fun for me to search for inspiring photos to share. I hope you like these too.
