Hey you guys, I finally have pictures of our
new bathroom with all of the accessories and fun stuff.
This is our kids' bathroom so I had fun decorating
Then, looking straight ahead, you see two of the three
windows that make up the dormer we added to our second story.
The dormer gave us the space we needed to
enlarge what was a very tiny bathroom.
Around the corner is the tub area.
My son is 16 and my daughter is 12 so
I tried to choose colors and accessories that
would work for both of them.
You know, like this sign with the Bathroom Rules.
And a clock to keep them moving in the mornings.
Hooks for towels and a big basket for dirty clothes.
Or at least I will have somewhere to put them
after I pick them up off the floor! : )
They even have a basket handy with extra rolls of toilet paper.
I found this bench at target.com and it
fits this little spot just right.
I picked up this frame a long time ago and I was
so happy when I found this cute print at allposters.com.
It's very appropriate because our kitty just happens to
be a bit chubby. Come to think of it, I have that
same look on my face when I step on the scales!
The shower curtain as well as the soap dispenser
and toothbrush holder are from Target also.
I like that the top of the toothbrush holder is removable
for cleaning purposes. I'm sure I don't have to
mention how icky things like that can get!
We chose simple brushed nickle knobs for the cabinet doors
and these industrial looking pulls for the drawers.
I had fun determining the exact placement of these
so they would be properly lined up.
So that's it ~ the bathroom is done ~ yeah!
We're so happy with how it turned out
and with the materials we chose.
It's so worry free and easy to clean.
It'll be even easier when I get the kids to do it!

more information about the products we used.
Thanks so much for taking a look!

I could be quite happy in your kids' bathroom. Our little cottage, built in 1928, has one tiny bathroom. We love our house, so we put up with the bathroom, but we would love to add something just like your bathroom between the house and the garage. Unfortunately, the California Coastal Commission feels that we would need to tear down our garage to do so and that makes a second bathroom unaffordable.

Having vibrant colors all around that white themed bathroom of yours is perfect for your kids. Not only does it look appealing, it also gives off a very energetic feel that kids need in the morning before going to school. Good day!

ReplyDeleteYou did an outstanding job with the kids' bathroom, JoAnne. I'm so glad you shared it at Every Room In The House. You'll be featured at tomorrow's party. See you there! xx ~ Nancy
ReplyDeleteI really like the two big mirrors. Those make the bathroom look a whole lot bigger than if you had decided to only use one mirror. The shape is ideal for the age of the kids and makes them feel more relaxed than if you had gone with something more whimsical. I think that the use of green is relaxing as well.
