In my last post I mentioned that we had been on vacation.
It's always nice to get away but it always feels so good to return home too.
I feel so fortunate to have a home that I love and that I am able to be home full time.
I can remember so many years in the past where I would just dread coming
home and returning to a job in the business world that I didn't like.
Now I realize why I was not happy in those jobs.
I was not following the 'desires of my heart'.
Being a full time wife, mom, homemaker, and part-time
blogger with a passion for decorating are exactly where I want to be right now
and I don't want to take that for granted.
I would like to show you some of the flowers and foliage
around the cottages of the little beach town where we spent our vacation.
They must really love the climate because some of the flowers are just huge
and the colors are amazingly vibrant.
I think these are knock out roses ~ aren't they beautiful?
The houses are close together but with the fences and all of the trees and flowers,
you really feel like you have some privacy ~ like a little retreat.
The hydrangeas are especially gorgeous and they are everywhere!
This was the biggest hydrangea bloom I have ever seen!
They're even dripping through the fences.
So pretty!!
Are you following the 'desires of your heart'?
~ that's my wish for all of us ~
Have a beautiful day!!

I can identify with what you said. I long to stay home again, but it's just not an option right now. Those hydrangeas are just beautiful!
ReplyDeletePretty indeed. I'm now following on GFC and Linky (oops I thought I was already.)
ReplyDeleteOne of the best days of my life was when I could quit the business world and stay home to raise my kids and be a full time mother. I really am blessed and never take it for granted. I feel exactly as you do. Vacations are fun but seldom do I find them as relaxing as when I am at home! The flowers in your photos are just gorgeous! I hope someday my roses look as good as these!

Hello! I love the hydrangeas. I am trying to follow the desires of my heart, starting my blog was the first step...
ReplyDeleteOh, it is a privilege to stay home and take care of your family. I've been blessed to stay home when my children were growing up and still love it.
ReplyDeleteNow those are some gorgeous hydrangeas. You have a very nice blog and I'm your newest follower.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
There is nothing worse than a job you don't like!! These flowers are lovely, and what a beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed being a Stay At Home mom too, now I am an empty nester. We had to make sacrifices financially for me to stay home but I never regretted not having that new car, or a fancy home. Being home with my 4 kids was much more rewarding. I am glad you are able to do that as well.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so beautiful!
ReplyDeletei am! and i am glad you are too...i can totally relate to what you said here. your pictures are so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate that you are able to follow your passion. I am a teacher and I LOVE my work, but I cherish my time at home and just like you when I get home after time away, I am so happy to be back where I belong. So many people work at jobs they truly hate and I feel so badly for them. Continue living your dream!
