suite101.com

So how about a cool treat?
I think we all could use that about now, right?

The giveaway is for some cute supplies to share some ice cream
with your kids, friends, anyone you need to bribe to help you
with those diy projects, etc.

The winner will receive this cute
"You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream"
tea towel with the cutest little aqua ball fringe . . . love that part!

This set of 4 ice cream bowls with coordinating spoons.

Also, an aqua collander for rinsing those summer berries,
four placemats,  and a heavy duty KitchenAid ice cream scoop
for dipping all of that wonderful yumminess.

(sorry, ice cream not included)

To enter, just leave a comment sharing your favorite flavor of ice cream,
something fun you have done this summer, or any ideas you have for
making the most of this last part of summer.

I would love it if you became a follower if you aren't already,
but it's totally not required ~
this is just for some summery fun so I'm keeping it nice and simple.

The winner will be randomly drawn on August 1st, 2012.

I hope you all will enter for a chance to win a fun
ice cream party!

  9. Hi JoAnne, What a cute package you have put together. I think my favorite ice cream is old fashioned homemade vanilla. Reminds me of turning the crank on one of those old ice cream makers. I saw one at the store the other day that was both electric and crank. I commented to my husband about how long it would take our grand-kids to give up the crank and plug in the electricity.

  11. Love this set! My favorite ice cream flavor is the birthday cake one...in the summer I am off since I am a teacher...I do work on my teaching work off and on all summer (like most of us!) and will soon get in my classroom full-time to get ready! But when I am off, I try to remind myself how lucky I am to get to be with my kids, go to the pool we belong to, get coffee whenever I want, and to embrace the time I have. These next couple weeks are crunch time when I feel like I need to fit in all of the stuff on my summer mental fun-list. Because of the heat, we've been to like one playground and park this summer! Not acceptable!!! We will be going tomorrow. :) THanks for the fun giveaway!

  12. Hi JoAnne
What a lovely Give Away, I love that IceCream-set and would like to be the lucky winner! My favorite ice cream is home-made vanilla ice with strawberry. I´ve been at a museum called Frilandsmuseet on wednesday this week. It is a museum with houses and farms from hundreds of years ago and my little grandson at 3 years was so excitet about all the old things and the living animals around the houses. Sometimes he hid behind some bushes and shouted "where is Luka" and he screamed and laughed when we "found" him. I think we will go to swim in a lake nearby. We use to have really fun about that.
I wish you a nice summer for the rest part.
    Love from Rita

  13. I have fond memories of sitting on top of an old wooden 2 gallon hand cranked freezer while my Daddy turned the crank. My personal favorite flavor was banana. Our relatives often made vanilla, however, and my sister was very excited once to find what she thought was homemade vanilla ice cream stored in my granny's freezer. The big bite she took revealed that it was lard--not the treat she hoped for.

Blue Kitchen Cabinets 2017

I have done a couple posts on kitchens with blue cabinetry in the past, after all it is my favorite color. It has been awhile though, so today I have rounded up some more  amazing kitchens with cottage style that also incorporate blue in  the design. source The kitchen above and the one below have white upper cabinets and soft shades of blue on the lower ones. This is a nice way to use blue without going overboard or ending up with something that you would get tired of quickly. source source Finding the right shade of blue would be key and using a lot of white and wood tones along with it creates a beautiful and timeless look. source source Isn't the kitchen above just so very unique? It has sort of a french country feeling but in an updated way. Wish there was a better picture of the script that's on the wall  on the right. source This kitchen is from Remodelondo la Casa and I've always thought the...

Family Room Reveal

Hello Everyone! I've been meaning to post about our updated family room for a very long time and I'm  finally doing it - yeah!! I had been ready to replace our brown leather furniture for a while and when a new Ikea opened very close to us last summer, I jumped at the chance to take a good look at their slipcovered furniture. Originally the plan was to buy another sofa and loveseat like we had but when I  saw the Ektorp sectional on the showroom floor at Ikea, I was sold.   It just seemed so cozy and I could really envision it in our family room. As you can see, we purchased the sectional with the white slipcover. You just can't beat the prices at Ikea and the quality is definitely good enough for us. I'm at a point where I don't want to buy expensive furniture that I feel like I have to keep forever.   We even had the sofa delivered and they took away the old sofa and loveseat  for a very small fee. We purchased...

AFFORDABLE WALL DECOR

Hi Everyone, One of the things I find the most difficult about decorating is finding wall decor that I like and is also affordable. That is one of the main things that I am always on the hunt for and sometimes I have to come up with some creative ideas. Just yesterday, I found this beautiful image of a  white hydrangea at The Graphics Fairy . The Graphics Fairy I printed it out in a size that would fit in a frame that  I already had.  I think it looks so pretty in the simple white frame. I'm probably going to hang it in our bedroom. I'm making a few small changes in there and I will show you when it's completed. This star is actually from the garden section of our local Meijer store.  It was originally silver metal and I spray painted it white. I have seen a lot of people decorate with bread boards. This one fit perfectly in the narrow space between my  cabinet and window and I love the warmth of the wood. ...
