Easter Eggs and Bunnies

Gosh, you guys, it has taken me FOREVER to get some Spring and Easter
decorations going on at my house but I finally got to it.
It's almost all things I already had too.

And then the sun finally came out so I grabbed the camera!

I started noticing that it's all Easter eggs and Easter bunnies so
those must be my favorite things for Spring.

I put some plain white hard boiled eggs in a basket with some
shredded paper and wrapped a piece of the paper around each egg.

I placed it on my most favorite little table in our dining area.

I decorated these plastic eggs with paint a couple years ago.
I put them in this cute basket I found at Walmart this year.

It's sitting on the little bench near the refrigerator.

A few blue specked eggs were placed in a bowl in the bathroom.

I've had these for a long time too and of course I love the blue!

A bunny and some flowers went into a basket on the table.

I call this one Little Bunny Shed Shed ~ 'cause he sheds
green stuff all over the place.

Next up is Snooty Bunny ~ see how her nose is so
 high up in the air!

She's right by my kitchen sink where I can keep an eye on her.

In the foyer we have Little Baby Bunny in her sweet pink jacket.

She's either trying to show us how big she is getting or
playing peek-a-boo ~ I'm not sure which!

You see, I believe in the saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" or
bunnies either apparantly.

I know ~ so corny!!

I hope you are all having some Spring like weather.
It's cold here but it's a beautiful sunshiny day ~ I'll take it!

I appreciate your visits so much!
Thank you for coming back even when I
have been absent for awhile.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

You're right, Claudia, 'Snooty' is made of some kind of heavy paper or cardboard. I got her at HomeGoods last year. Thank you so much for hosting!

  10. I was also wondering what Snooty is made of. Looks like accorded folded magazine pages. The speckled eggs are my favorite. Have a great day. Tammy

  13. Oh, Joanne, your spring bunnies and eggs are so pretty. I think Baby Bunny is trying to hold her ears up... after all, she's still a baby. And I love snooty bunny. (I think he's sniffing the air for carrots...) Enjoy the arrival of spring, next week!

Blue Kitchen Cabinets 2017

I have done a couple posts on kitchens with blue cabinetry in the past, after all it is my favorite color. It has been awhile though, so today I have rounded up some more  amazing kitchens with cottage style that also incorporate blue in  the design. source The kitchen above and the one below have white upper cabinets and soft shades of blue on the lower ones. This is a nice way to use blue without going overboard or ending up with something that you would get tired of quickly. source source Finding the right shade of blue would be key and using a lot of white and wood tones along with it creates a beautiful and timeless look. source source Isn't the kitchen above just so very unique? It has sort of a french country feeling but in an updated way. Wish there was a better picture of the script that's on the wall  on the right. source This kitchen is from Remodelondo la Casa and I've always thought the...

Family Room Reveal

Hello Everyone! I've been meaning to post about our updated family room for a very long time and I'm  finally doing it - yeah!! I had been ready to replace our brown leather furniture for a while and when a new Ikea opened very close to us last summer, I jumped at the chance to take a good look at their slipcovered furniture. Originally the plan was to buy another sofa and loveseat like we had but when I  saw the Ektorp sectional on the showroom floor at Ikea, I was sold.   It just seemed so cozy and I could really envision it in our family room. As you can see, we purchased the sectional with the white slipcover. You just can't beat the prices at Ikea and the quality is definitely good enough for us. I'm at a point where I don't want to buy expensive furniture that I feel like I have to keep forever.   We even had the sofa delivered and they took away the old sofa and loveseat  for a very small fee. We purchased...

Pretty Centerpieces for Spring

To celebrate the first official day of Spring, I found some pretty and easy table centerpieces to inspire us. This first one is what I currently have on my table. I'm sure I will be changing it out many times especially when the flowers in my yard start blooming. Here are a couple more from previous years. As you can see, I usually stick with something pretty easy - a pitcher or flower pot with flowers and a few other accessories to make it a little more interesting. There are so many possibilities. Using jars or bottles for flowers can be so pretty and I love how the Spring sunshine reflects through them. source source source I also love nature inspired centerpieces. You can get really creative with some spring blooms,  moss and terra cotta pots. source source source I have never made a centerpiece using veggies but I have seen  some like these below that look amazing. The colors are so fresh and vibrant. source source source If you like a more rustic look, ...
