I have always loved the phrase "Home for the Holidays".
Even though we are taking a short trip right before Christmas,
we will be back in time to enjoy Christmas at home.
Of course, home can be wherever the people I love will be.
That's the most important thing and the most necessary ingredient.
But I don't mind if it also includes a cute little reindeer.
And a decorated mantel.
A Christmas tree, of course.
Pretty packages.
And a cozy kitchen with little bits of Christmas sprinkled around.
Christmas also includes our cute kitty with visions of sugarplums dancing
in his little head . . . or kitty treats, whichever.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
I know there are so many beautiful homes to visit right now.
Hope your Christmas is Merry and Bright!

Your home is simply beautiful. Love the kitty. I have 2. They love to sleep under the tree. ❄ ❄
ReplyDeleteOMGOSH- That picture of your kitty in the basket by the tree is an award winner! Your home is just so very pretty. It is looking festive and lovely all decorated up for the season. You are so right- home is where your family is---and a building is only the space that holds us. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your simple holiday touches throughout your home, JoAnne. From the brown paper packages tied up with string (one of my favorite musicals) to your sweet kitty dozing in a basket. It will all be a welcome sight when you return from your trip, I'm sure. Thank you for the tour and safe travels!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to go on little trip, going home for Christmas will be perfect and welcomed. Hope trip will be very enjoyable, kitties waiting for your return.
We went to San Diego this summer to see oldest son, his new house and his two boys spending their time with their Dad. As it turned out his house is barely a mile from where we lived before moving to MT in '92. Boy has it changed there, we haven't been back all these years as we lived in MT for 7 yrs. then moved to KY close to same son for 5 yrs. then moved to western CO close to youngest daughter and family. Have been in Grand Junction area for over 12 yrs. now, live few miles west out in rural area.
Have you been in same area for very long, ever lived anywhere else? Was hard for us to leave KY as we loved our place out in country but weather/climate was not good for me at all so after 5 yrs. decided had to leave. Health has been much better but it's quite expensive to live here compared to KY.
Your home always looks so cozy and lovely, you are good housekeeper and have your home so nice always.
Hope you are enjoying holiday season. Have wonderful weekend
JoAnne, I have always loved your home and your style. Everything is so crisp and beautiful. I love the soft colors you use.

I can't find your email address. ;)
Your photos are lovely. What I like the most about your Christmas touches is the simplicity of them. There are so many bloggers that have over-the-top decorations. Too much for my taste. Merry Christmas to you and your family!! xo
