Tutoring Resource



I recently became aware of the website StudyPoint.
  This is a company that will match your child with an in-home
 tutor in many academic areas.

My son will enter High School next year.  
High School!! 
I know you all can relate to how fast they grow up.
I just can't believe it!
He is a smart boy and even takes some honors courses but we all know
 how much more challenging school is these days and how much is expected of the students.
It's nice to know that there are resources out there for additional help if needed.

I don't even want to think about college yet but from what I hear,
the competition to be accepted into a good college is so much higher than it used to be.
StudyPoint can provide tutors for ACT and SAT preparation also.

    Very informative for those young mum's out there Jo Anne..
    It always pays off to get a little extra tuition for your children.. keeps them focused.
    Mine now of course all grown. With their own children and professions..but at times , I too had extra help here and there.
    We are also experiencing great weather here in Alentejo.. its been beautiful.

    When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and
    now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.
    Is there any way you can remove people from that service?

    buy an act or sat prep book. they have examples of older tests in there. just go through and do however many problems you want because then you can see the type of questions that might be on the test. also you will then be aware of all the stuff you should know and remember. Read more here.

    zoom has an inbuilt whiteboard that comes with the share screen option. Here, you can even disable annotations from other members while you are teaching, and enable it when you want the pupils to interact.

Family Room Reveal

Hello Everyone! I've been meaning to post about our updated family room for a very long time and I'm  finally doing it - yeah!! I had been ready to replace our brown leather furniture for a while and when a new Ikea opened very close to us last summer, I jumped at the chance to take a good look at their slipcovered furniture. Originally the plan was to buy another sofa and loveseat like we had but when I  saw the Ektorp sectional on the showroom floor at Ikea, I was sold.   It just seemed so cozy and I could really envision it in our family room. As you can see, we purchased the sectional with the white slipcover. You just can't beat the prices at Ikea and the quality is definitely good enough for us. I'm at a point where I don't want to buy expensive furniture that I feel like I have to keep forever.   We even had the sofa delivered and they took away the old sofa and loveseat  for a very small fee. AFFORDABLE WALL DECOR

Hi Everyone, One of the things I find the most difficult about decorating is finding wall decor that I like and is also affordable. That is one of the main things that I am always on the hunt for and sometimes I have to come up with some creative ideas. Just yesterday, I found this beautiful image of a  white hydrangea at The Graphics Fairy . The Graphics Fairy I printed it out in a size that would fit in a frame that  I already had.  I think it looks so pretty in the simple white frame. I'm probably going to hang it in our bedroom. I'm making a few small changes in there and I will show you when it's completed. This star is actually from the garden section of our local Meijer store.  It was originally silver metal and I spray painted it white. I have seen a lot of people decorate with bread boards. This one fit perfectly in the narrow space between my  cabinet and window and I love the warmth of the wood.  I love th
