COUNTER STOOLS ~ WHICH ONES? HELP!

I have been looking at counter stools for a while now.
You can see a picture of the stools we currently have below.

They were fine for a few years but they were inexpensive and
 are starting to fall apart.
We use them constantly everyday so I'm looking for better quality.
I'm really tired of the black too.

I think I want something backless that doesn't compete
with the style of our table as you can see here.

I found 5 styles that might work but I'm having a really hard time
making a decision.

No. 1

No. 2

No. 3

No. 4
This one is unfinished so I would probably paint it with chalk paint but I'm not sure of the color.

No. 5

I would love to know which ones you would choose.
If you don't like any of them, that's okay.
I really want your honest opinion.
If you have seen any that you think would look good,
I would love to hear about that too.

I can't wait to hear what you think!
I know you have nothing else to do today than help me
with my counter stool dilemma!!  ha ha

  1. I think #1 looks the most like your style but #3 is fun if you want to be all modern and edgey. :)

  2. #2 has the same legs as your dining chairs and the rush seat gives warm texture!

  3. Oh my! I can see why you are having a tough time. You found so many great choices! I really think they would all work it just depends on the look your going for. Whenever I bring something new home I always save the receipt. Sometimes things look different once you bring them in. I like #2 and #3

  4. I love #2 the stain will add a warm touch!! I look at those stools in Ballards all the time.

  5. I love them all! The last one is great but to make it even more comfy, there is a variation that dips in the middle...I think it's called a saddle seat. Overstock was a great help when we looked at seats. Good luck, dear!

  6. I like #1 and #5. I think either one of those would look great with your table and chairs. However, if you chose #4 you could paint them a fabulous aqua! I guess I'm not much help! : ) I know whatever you decide will look great!

  7. #1 gets my vote.

They're all nice but I would stick with black over brown is all.

  8. They are all lovely but my first choice would be #3! You have wood, so a mix of a little vintage industrial would be nice! My second choice would be #2 or 5. I know, it's such a difficult choice!! Sometimes you have to buy one and see.....! Love your style! Blessings~~~Roxie

  9. I think if you want something different--don't go with the rush seat stools. They are pretty but I would go totally different--but that is just me. I would go with #3 or #5 and paint aqua or other fun accent color...

  10. Number 4 is my favorite and I would paint it either Aqua or White.

  11. I am going with number 3 - I am just liking the look of metal mixed with wood and granite in a kitchen. I was photographing a metal chair today for my daily Instagram pic and I was thinking how much fun a set of those metal chairs would be.

  12. one thing to think about is how long are you going to be sitting on the stools. i would not be able to sit very long on a seat that does not have a back. i like this one and i looks like your chairs http://www.potterybarn.com/products/napoleon-barstool/?pkey=e%7Ccounter%2Bstools%7C20%7Cbest%7C0%7C1%7C48%7C%7C13&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-Barstool%2C%20Bar%20Stool .

  13. I really like the style of no. 3 but I think no. 5. would look great with your existing dining chairs. I look forward to seeing what you choose. It will look great whatever you decide. I do think a backless stool that can be pushed under the counter will open up the space too. Good luck.

  14. I like your kitchen and dining set very much - style and color. I would choose no. 1, or no. 2 painted aqua or turquoise. Can't wait to see what you choose. Greetings, Nada

  15. I vote #1 definitely. They will be more comfortable, they are white, and they go with your table the best.

  16. I'd pick number one, I think it would really fit in with your room while adding a little extra bit of texture.

  17. I like the texture that the seats would give in No. 1 and 2.

  18. I love the number 1, the rush seating with the white...that would be my choice. Very pretty! Your kitchen looks so pretty.

  19. I like three, four and five. I think the caning might get "ratty" after awhile and spilled food might not look too great on it. I like the classic look of the last three, and maybe No. 5 the best and painted a light blue (turquoise?) would be nice--will match the "pops" in your kitchen.

Blue Kitchen Cabinets 2017

I have done a couple posts on kitchens with blue cabinetry in the past, after all it is my favorite color. It has been awhile though, so today I have rounded up some more  amazing kitchens with cottage style that also incorporate blue in  the design. source The kitchen above and the one below have white upper cabinets and soft shades of blue on the lower ones. This is a nice way to use blue without going overboard or ending up with something that you would get tired of quickly. source source Finding the right shade of blue would be key and using a lot of white and wood tones along with it creates a beautiful and timeless look. source source Isn't the kitchen above just so very unique? It has sort of a french country feeling but in an updated way. Wish there was a better picture of the script that's on the wall  on the right. source This kitchen is from Remodelondo la Casa and I've always thought the w

AFFORDABLE WALL DECOR

Hi Everyone, One of the things I find the most difficult about decorating is finding wall decor that I like and is also affordable. That is one of the main things that I am always on the hunt for and sometimes I have to come up with some creative ideas. Just yesterday, I found this beautiful image of a  white hydrangea at The Graphics Fairy . The Graphics Fairy I printed it out in a size that would fit in a frame that  I already had.  I think it looks so pretty in the simple white frame. I'm probably going to hang it in our bedroom. I'm making a few small changes in there and I will show you when it's completed. This star is actually from the garden section of our local Meijer store.  It was originally silver metal and I spray painted it white. I have seen a lot of people decorate with bread boards. This one fit perfectly in the narrow space between my  cabinet and window and I love the warmth of the wood.  I love th

Family Room Reveal

Hello Everyone! I've been meaning to post about our updated family room for a very long time and I'm  finally doing it - yeah!! I had been ready to replace our brown leather furniture for a while and when a new Ikea opened very close to us last summer, I jumped at the chance to take a good look at their slipcovered furniture. Originally the plan was to buy another sofa and loveseat like we had but when I  saw the Ektorp sectional on the showroom floor at Ikea, I was sold.   It just seemed so cozy and I could really envision it in our family room. As you can see, we purchased the sectional with the white slipcover. You just can't beat the prices at Ikea and the quality is definitely good enough for us. I'm at a point where I don't want to buy expensive furniture that I feel like I have to keep forever.   We even had the sofa delivered and they took away the old sofa and loveseat  for a very small fee. We purchased this dre
